Located in the shadow of the spectacular Sierra Nevada mountain range, the Southern Inyo Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility provides personalized care to residents from all backgrounds. Our thirty-three-bed facility is licensed by the California Department of Health Services and is located within the hospital. In addition to nursing care, we also offer access to dental services; as well as the following onsite health care and other services: wound care, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, a dietary department, radiologic and laboratory services, emergency room services, palliative care, an activities program, social services, and an outpatient clinic. Hairdressing and laundry services are available locally. We also have onsite Whirlpool therapy. Additionally, SIHD offers transportation for resident medical appointments throughout Inyo, Kern, and other surrounding counties as needed.
Resident facilities include a picturesque central patio and resident park area with views of Sierra granite peaks. Every resident room is equipped with cable television, and residents have access to a private phone. We offer semi-private rooms. Nutritious meals and snacks are prepared in an onsite kitchen and served to residents in our sunlit dining room. Menus are prepared with the guidance of a registered dietician.

Admission Procedure:
You and your family are encouraged to tour our facility and meet our staff. During your visit, we will be glad to discuss specific details, services, and care requirements. The Admission Committee will then review your application package. Upon acceptance and room availability, we will help you and your family make all arrangements for residency. A complete schedule of fees and services is available upon request. We are an approved Medicare and MediCal provider.
