The Southern Inyo Hospital Clinical Laboratory is a 24/7 full-service clinical laboratory accredited by the Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation and proficiency testing is done through the American Proficiency Institute three times each year. The lab is easily accessible inside the hospital and is a five-minute walk from the clinic, making it a convenient option for same-day testing.
We also have a rapid turnaround time. Most tests are done on the same day and our send-outs are usually back the next day. Any tests that cannot be performed in-house are referred to one of our partner laboratories, cutting down on expensive travel to a remote site.
Convenient Hours and Emergency Availability
To meet the diverse needs of our patients, our laboratory offers convenient hours for outpatient specimen collection:
- Outpatient Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- 24/7 Emergency Availability: Our lab remains open around the clock for emergency testing needs, ensuring that patients receive critical care whenever necessary.
These extended service hours accommodate various patient schedules, including early-morning or late-afternoon visits, so that testing is available at convenient times.
